“I attending the hustings in Carmarthen and have to say the standard of candidates was very impressive. I am delighted that the party has such talent at its disposal in West Wales and any one of the candidates would be a fantastic Assembly Member for the region. I know the team, being lead by Simon, are going to be a fantastic asset to Carmarthenshire.”

Jonathan Edwards MP said:

“It is great to have such a strong line up of candidates putting themselves forward in the region. We have been very fortunate that over the past Assembly term Mid and West Wales has had a truly dedicated regional AM in Nerys Evans. She has done a fantastic job, winning campaigner of the year in her very first year as an Assembly Member. I know that she is passionate about representing her home constituency and that is why she has chosen to fight for the Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire constituency.”
