Save our Police Helicopter

Under current plans the Dyfed Powys Police helicopter will be scrapped on the 1st January 2016.

We believe that our police helicopter has played a pivotal role in protecting our communities and saving lives, and must be protected from budget cuts and centralisation.

We call upon the Home Secretary to intervene and protect our dedicated Police helicopter so it can continue to serve our communities and save lives.

The local criminals must be rubbing their hands waiting for it to happen

If the aircraft is relocated , we will rarely see it in our skies and only when there are no more pressing issues in Cardiff, Swansea or Newport

That aircraft is worth it’s weight in gold for the job that it does! Scrapping it is a massive mistake – Excellent planning NPAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This vital service needs to be saved. A life saving mission flown over the weekend. That person may still be missing if we have to wait for a shared service.

Outrageous that this huge rural community will loose this essential service

Losing the helicopter will be a massive loss. Dyfed Powys Police have a vast area to patrol in order to protect its Communities. To do this effectively and efficiently they need air support.

The helicopter is a valuable resource for fighting the crime in my area. As Chairman for lakefield residents and tenants association we have discussed this issue and request that this service is kept for the community.

its a shame that we have to sign a petition to save a service that is such a vital service for our community. The council of caramarthenshire can spend thousands of pounds placing stone walls on roundabouts in Llanelli for what benefit This isn’t a necessity and wont help our community in any way save lives and keep the general public safe its common sense

It is a travesty that this essential resource is being moved away from Dyfed Powys to Cardiff. Response times and aircraft availability will cause big problems for the public and Police officers of Dyfed Powys. No foresight by the ‘decision makers’ methinks.
