Local MP in running for top website award

Carmarthen East and Dinefwr MP Jonathan Edwards has been shortlisted for an award in the MP Web Awards 2010 run by the British Computer Society. The results will be announced on November 15th in the House of Commons. The awards recognise the best sites across a number of categories including accessibility, usability, social media and engagement.

Jonathan Edwards MP said:

“I am delighted that I have been nominated for such a prestigious award. I made a point when standing as an MP to be as accessible as possible and have been really pleased how many people have engaged with me through the website. This has come through emails, blog comments and responses to press releases. It has been an essential tool in getting feedback on local issues.”
