Jonathan continues to fight for Ahmer

Carmarthen East & Dinefwr MP Jonathan Edwards continues his representations to support Ahmer Rana, the 17 year old pupil who faces deportation to Pakistan when he turns 18 on Christmas Day.
Mr. Edwards will meet next week with the Thomas Boucher and Caitlin Reed – Head Boy and Head Girl of QE High School where Ahmer is a pupil, and will offer two complimentary rail tickets to the student representatives to join Mr. Edwards in presenting their petition to the Home Office department.

Mr. Edwards congratulates the Carmarthen Journal on its high profile campaign and urges everyone, wherever they live in the country, to support Ahmer’s campaign.

Mr. Edwards said:

“It is encouraging to see the community coming together to support Ahmer. I am receiving letters of support on a daily basis.

“I would like to thank the Carmarthen Journal for its campaign, but stress that we need as many signatures as possible to send a strong message to the Minister for Immigration.

“I have put a copy of the campaign coupon on my website in the hope that people from all around the country will support Ahmer’s campaign.

“I would urge as many people as possible to share this message with their family, friends and neighbours and return the completed coupon at the earliest opportunity”
